Productions become digital and content leaves the screen via mixed reality. They take place – spatially accessible – within your own four walls. Recordings with conventional cameras are not sufficient for such formats and previous methods of creating three-dimensional people are too costly, complicated and not authentic enough. We are the first Volumetric Studio – Made in Germany. We can film people in motion in three dimensions – and offer the complete production solution for the creation and display of volumetric capture.

WHY DETAILS MATTER

CLOTH

Clothing is authentically captured directly and in accordance with the performance during the recording and is an integral part of the Volucap. In addition, we offer the possibility to dye clothes or, using the latest technological processes, to simulate other clothes on existing recordings. Realistic movements of clothes can only be created by means of volumetric capture. In contrast to other methods, no artificial simulations are used.

EYES

The eyes are the window to the soul. Our iris has over 250 special features that are different for each person. Our fingerprint, however, has only 40. The eye is the most important sense organ. Our retina contains 70% of all sensory cells of all sensory organs!

FACE

The biggest focus is on the face and so we also put our focus on faces. The face receives the highest resolution of all body regions and thus offers an optimal distribution of details.

ADAPTIVE MESH SIMPLIFICATION

Adaptive mesh simplification allows to preserve more triangles and allocate a larger texture budget for important areas such as faces or hands.

TEMPORAL MESH STABILIZATION

Temporally stable meshes allow for better compression and easier post-processing of data. We offer fully automated computing of temporally stable meshes.

INDIVIDUAL FEATURE TRACKING

Tracking of the 3D data allows the placement of new accessories or changes to clothing without having to re-record the volucap. This allows a more flexible use for future applications.

DYNAMIC EYE CONTACT

Eye contact increases immersion as the Volucap always follows the observer. It doesn’t matter where the viewer stands, because he always feels directly addressed.

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

Artificial intelligence is used not only for better quality. We can synthesize new poses and movements, e.g. mouth movements for new languages, which were never recorded.
