This year’s c-tv conference at St. Pölten University of Applied Sciences is dedicated to the topic of virtual production. International experts will present the latest trends in moving image production.

From virtual scouting and set design to real-time on-set visual effects, virtual production, a relatively new and rapidly evolving area of the film and TV industry, has the potential to transform the industry.

“Virtual production” is an umbrella term used to describe the production of content using a combination of computer-generated imagery (CGI), game engines and virtual reality technologies. The inclusion of high-resolution LED screens and the covid pandemic as drivers have given the new production method a major boost,” says Rosa von Suess, head of educational television c-tv at the University of Applied Sciences St. Pölten and organizer of the c-tv conference.

Virtual Production (VP) impacts many core disciplines of filmmaking, from camera work to production design, visual effects, animation, directing, and production planning.
