Diving Deeper into the Potential of Immersive Technologies – Volucap at OWF 2025

At this year’s East German Economic Forum (OWF25), leading voices from business, politics, and science is coming together to explore how we can shape a digitally empowered and competitive future.

As part of the “NEXT LEVEL: TECHNOLOGY” networking event—organized by the Digital Hub Initiative of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action—our CEO Sven Bliedung von der Heide takes a deeper dive into “Evolving Technologies – Exploring the Future Potential of AI, XR, and Volumetric Capture”.

He shares how technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI), Extended Reality (XR), and Volumetric Video are reshaping the media and technology landscape and how their combination opens new opportunities for immersive applications across industries.

Sven presents our new version of Voluverse—now developed as an Augmented Reality app for smartphones—through which immersive content can be experienced anytime, anywhere, without the need for a VR headset.

Referring to the collaborative project with Charité Berlin as a showcase, he illustrated how XR and volumetric capture can simplify immersive VR training scenarios—enabling more effective, realistic, and repeatable learning experiences for professionals, e.g. in fields like medicine.
