VR journey to Mars
„There is life on Mars!“ – This was the last message from Mars crew leader Kara Chander, who had been living on the red planet for years. Since then there has been nothing but silence. The Film University Babelsberg KONRAD WOLF will enable the users to travel to Mars in order to discover the truth behind the prevailing silence.
The immersive VR experience “Into the Red (VR)” is no ordinary mars mission: we offer the journey into the psyche of the missing mars crew leader. An absorbing experience in VR, volumetric video and 360° video – discovering the borders of memories, dreams and reality.
VISION
With “Into the Red VR” we want to archive a special kind of immersive storytelling in the vein of immersive theater plays such as Punchdrunks “Sleep No More” and Third Rail Projects “Then She Fell”. We want to archive the seduction of the user to become part of the story world we have created for him to discover and explore the storylines, just as visitors do in the series “Westworld”.

“Into the Red” combines VR, volumetric video and 360 ° recordings and encourages the user to discover the limits of memories, dreams and reality.
