BABYBEARD is a high-energy Kawaii Metal band led by the iconic Ladybeard—a professional wrestler, actor, and singer known for blending cute aesthetics with hardcore metal. Originally from Australia, Ladybeard gained global fame in Japan’s Kawaii Metal scene, combining powerful growls, colorful costumes, and J-pop melodies into an electrifying fusion. Together with Japanese pop singers Kotomi and Suzu, BABYBEARD creates an unforgettable mix of metal, dance, and anime-inspired fun.

With “Twisted Kaiju Tale”, BABYBEARD’s signature energy moves beyond the screen into a fully immersive VR experience. Fans won’t just watch the performance—they’ll be inside it. Thanks to volumetric capture technology, every move, jump, and pose of the band has been recorded in 3D, delivering unprecedented realism and presence in virtual reality.

BABYBEARD’s VR music video was brought to life using state-of-the-art volumetric capture in our Volucap Studio in Germany. The band members were filmed in ultra-high resolution 3D, capturing every detail—from their energetic movements to their vibrant costumes. The footage was then integrated into a stylized, dynamic virtual environment, creating a unique fusion of live performance and digital artistry.

The first exclusive sneak peek of “Twisted Kaiju Tale” VR music video was unveiled at SXSW 2025, where visitors experienced the sneak peak of the experience for the first time. The response was overwhelming, proving that the future of music videos is immersive!
