The world’s first volumetric live deepfake!

“The metaverse is coming – and it’s going to be big”: The motto was the program. At the “Break New Ground” innovation conference, Deutsche Telekom partner Volucap presented their solutions for the era when the Internet and reality merge.

At the opening keynote, Germany’s best-known supermodel raved about the potential of virtual reality and augmented reality in a video message. The deceptively real-looking recording, however, turned out to be an elaborate deepfake by Volucap.

The world’s first live metaverse deepfake was a groundbreaking moment in the world of technology. Created by the company Volucap, the deepfake was placed into the Meta Horizons VR platform and debuted during a live stage show. By using Volucap’s own local cloud in Babelsberg the deepfake was able to be inserted via augmented reality from a phone in front of the real stage.

By streaming the deepfake through the Quest Pro headset, Sven Bliedung von der Heide was able to share his live feed from virtual reality with the audience on a large virtual production LED screen, providing a fully immersive experience.

Overall, the debut of the world’s first metaverse live deepfake was a significant milestone in the world of technology and entertainment.

By placing a Volucap via smartphone in front of the stage, calculating the mobile image via the Volucap’s own cloud and then streaming it via the Quest Pro glasses in virtual reality to the LED screen behind Sven Bliedung von der Heide.
